Weathersfield Elementary is the recipient of the 2020 National Blue Ribbon Schools Award. We are deeply honored to receive this award as one of only 367 schools in the country. We are so proud!
Weathersfield is a "GEM" of a school that has been the best kept secret for far too long! When you walk onto the Weathersfield campus, you feel a sense of "happiness". We provide a warm and welcoming school environment, and a school community that cares deeply for our children and their academic and social emotional growth.
Weathersfield teachers dedicate themselves toward ensuring that their students are provided with high quality instruction that creates a rich learning experience for all.
In addition to our highly talented teachers, Weathersfield possesses a tremendously dedicated and committed support staff. We feature a highly acclaimed music program where students learn songs, instruments, musical genres and history, dance, and how to read music. Weathersfield students move on to middle school with a solid foundation in music education. Additionally, we have a robust student council where students are provided with school leadership opportunities, and a community outreach program that offers our children experiences to make a difference for others.
Our SEM is based on best practices in gifted education and aims to challenge and enrich every child's education by facilitating both academic and affective learning opportunities to build a foundation for critical thinking, achievement, innovation and success.

The Weathersfield families are second to none. Our extremely supportive PTA and volunteers put in countless hours to assist our teachers and staff in providing our children a well-rounded educational experience.
We truly are the quintessential neighborhood school. Our children grow up together at Weathersfield. They learn the importance of respect, responsibility, caring, kindness, and honesty. They work together to achieve the best that they can be. Our Eagles are amazing!
